Why is it that we feel safe hiding behind #fear? ° • Without the faces we paint for society we are left with raw emotional instinct, darkness, and deep #wisdom. ° • Sometimes it is not that our egos are too strong or self-absorbed, but that they are weak and small and seeking Home. In our healing journeys, our egos must confront the Self and recognize the limitations of conscious psyche. • *Gulp* • Authentic living threatens the #statusquo. Authentic living requires surrendering and sacrificing, surfacing and stomaching. Authentic living does NOT mean a life without fear, but rather one which embraces fear with understanding and acceptance.

There's a stage in #alchemy called the albedo. During albedo, you reunite with the innocence of your heart; you begin to reclaim your virginity..with the likeness of #Sovereignty. Like the #VirginMoon you realize that you are WHOLE, always. This is different than the naivety of a child. You are not inexperienced or uncontaminated, rather you are not defined or confined by your experiences. You now allow yourself to exist, as you are. Sitting in stillness, cacooned, until the yellowing begins. Becoming who you will Become.

Recently, I've become reacquainted with my body through #somaticawareness practices. It's deeper than #bodyawareness & acceptance...of course we all need to work harder to love the vessels we've been given and appreciate those of others, but it's even more important to feel the weight of our own present-ness & existence. ° • • My latest reflection has been "You exist within your body. Cherish." ° • • I decided that I need to align myself with the #healing power within me. Do I perceive my connected #humanness? Do I factor myself into the ecological equation of all #InterBeing-ness? Can I feel my heart beating or my breath flowing? The answer is No..but Sometimes I can. That is not enough. ° • • I had been dissociated from myself, from my social environment & from Nature. I meditated, prayed, #surrender-ed my suffering. But that wasn't enough. I still felt pain everyday in my shoulders and my neck. Accupuncture didn't work, deep massages didn't work, Vinyasa didn't work. ° • • I was still unaware of the trapped #trauma in my body, unaware of the psychology injuries manifesting physically, unaware that I can heal myself. And then I discovered Methods of #expressiveart. Healing through movement. I picked up Trauma Sensitive Yoga & Random Dancing. One specifically pinpoints areas of trapped trauma and relieves the pressure. The other allows sound waves to flow freely through my energy skeleton (#chakras)..my body follows suit. • Now, I am able to move in ways that feel good to my body and learn the language my body speaks. I'm learning what it needs and wants. How it feels. And I've realized that our bodies are sacred and powerful. Sometimes I hold myself because my heart feels sad and I need a hug. It's a #selflove technique that my therapist taught me. ° • • I remember last year around this time I met this guy..he taught me about his culture, taught me to look the world & its inhabitants directly in the eye. Because that is how you communicate Love. Assuredly. ° • • The moment I met this guy, I instantly recognized him. My soul bowed. He was there to teach me about Love, but not in the way that I thought..or had hoped. He was there to teach me how to Love myself harder and gentler. How to let go with compassion and awareness. He taught me loneliness so that I'd grow to appreciate connectivity. He taught me sadness so that I'd make space for joy. And for the first time, the bittersweetness of heartbreak felt more sweet than bitter.
